NKLA [No-Kill Los Angeles] is an initiative led by Best Friends Animal Society, to turn Los Angeles into a no-kill city. The NKLA Pet Adoption Center is located at 1845 Pontius Ave, in the heart of West Los Angeles. Best Friends, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, operates the nation's largest sanctuary for homeless animals; provides adoption, spay/neuter, and educational programs.
